What Are Dentures?

Removable or implant-supported dentures are a convenient method for replacing lost teeth. These dental pieces make it more convenient to speak and bite into food with confidence and also restore the appearance of your mouth following tooth loss. Our dental professionals offer full and partial detachable and implant-held dentures. Single-arch dentures restore every one of the teeth in the top arch, bottom arch, or both, whereas partial dentures are utilized when a number of the real teeth still remain in the mouth. At Contemporary Dentistry in Fairfax, VA or Manassas, VA, we can help you discover if removable or implant-supported dentures are appropriate for your requirements and have them individually made to provide a pleasant appearance and secure fit. Reach out to us for your denture exam with our dental team to find out more.

What Is the Denture Process?

Our staff will kick off the process by taking digital or molded impressions of your upper and bottom arches. These impressions will then be taken to our partnering dental lab; from there, they will make your unique dentures. Full and partial dentures comprise lightweight resin, which can be reinforced by a metal framework. Created with high-quality biocompatible materials, dentures copy the appearance of natural teeth and gums. As soon as your appliances are crafted and sent to Contemporary Dentistry, we will ask you to check in for a fitting session. Our expert team will modify your appliances so they fit snugly or attach them to previously placed metal posts. We will also talk about the proper methods to clean your brand-new dentures.

Great experience. Open on Saturday. Dr. Maya Vexler DDS was fantastic and did a great job with my dental crown, very confident and nice. I plan on switching to Contemporary Dentistry. The whole team made me feel very comfortable and safe.

UPDATE: January 2024. My 6th year with Dr. Morales. Had another cleaning. As usual, great experience. I don't have insurance, so I am happy they still honor Aetna's discount membership for real savings. Started to learn Spanish and I can practice it in real life...and for free! Hasta la proxima vez ! UPDATE: January 2023. Just had the cleaning done, after five years still a satisfied customer. This is my second review for this excellent office. After neglecting my teeth for quite some time a broken toothed forced me to visit a dentist. After a research on the web and subsequent phone calls I settled for the Contemporary Dentistry of Manassas. One of the reason was that not having insurance the office accepts Aetna Savings Plans, basically a discount for the services. The discounts are real as I found out calling some other offices. My first visit was in January 2018. I have had numerous procedures done since then (altogether 30 - thirty - visits) ranging from deep cleaning, numerous cavities and including one implant and two crowns. All work was done in the office, the quality of work has been 100%+, I have never experienced nay 'post-procedure' pains or complications. The staff is very friendly and I am very happy I picked Contemporary dentistry for my dental needs. UPDATE: January 2023. Just had the cleaning done, after five years still a satisfied customer.

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Morales and his practice for 18 years. The time period, alone, should be an indication of my family’s satisfaction.  Dr. Morales is wonderful...he invariably demonstrates serving his patients’ best interests and well-being in recommending and carrying out treatment. We have never had lingering issues in any treatment given.  We have successfully recommended him and his practice and will continue to do so. We never have a problem with scheduling appointments and the office staff is always welcoming and pleasant. The office, itself, is modern and comfortable.  If I could give 10 Stars, I would! P.S. Love our hygienist, Amy.

I’ve had a very positive experience with Contemporary Dentistry of Fairfax starting with my initial phone call to make my appointment, to the welcoming and professional office staff, and the talent and skill of the dentists. I currently see Dr Noumy but I trust that I would get the same care from the other dentists as well.

I travel from Florida for Dentist Diego Morales.  He is super careful and I don’t have any pain.  Excellent work in my mouth.  Dentist Diego Morales treats you like part of his family.  No waiting times when you have an appointment.  The receptionist and the staff very attentive.  I recommended 100%.

Is it difficult to get used to wearing dentures?

While getting used to dentures might take a little time, the adjustment is usually smoother than expected. Many patients find the initial period brief and manageable, and our team at Contemporary Dentistry provides personalized tips to help make the transition comfortable and easy.

Will dentures change how I eat and speak?

At first, eating and speaking with dentures may feel slightly different, but most patients adapt quickly. We recommend starting with soft foods, cutting them into small pieces, and chewing them evenly on both sides. Practicing speaking aloud can also improve clarity and help you feel more comfortable with your dentures.
